1. Who We Are
CleanupOwl is provided by Pinsaar Software Technologies Private Limited ("Pinsaar", "we", "us", "our").
This Policy explains how we handle personal information when you:
- Visit the CleanupOwl website; or
- Use the CleanupOwl service as a business owner or authorized user (our "Customers").
For this Policy:
- Customer = the business owner or entity that has purchased or is evaluating CleanupOwl.
- Customer Data = any data you connect to or upload into CleanupOwl (including QuickBooks Online data).
If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Service.
2. Data Roles
- For Customer account and usage data, we act as an independent controller.
- For Customer Data (your QuickBooks Online data), we act as a service provider/processor, processing that data on your instructions to provide the Service.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis to process Customer Data and for complying with applicable privacy laws.
3. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account and contact details (name, email, business name, billing details).
- Customer Data (QuickBooks Online transactions, accounts, documents, configuration).
- Communications with us (support requests, emails, feedback).
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage and log data (IP address, device, browser, pages viewed, actions taken).
- Cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, analytics and preferences.
Information from Third Parties
- QuickBooks Online via Intuit's API (when you authorize the connection).
- Payment providers and our merchant of record (currently Dodo Payments).
- Analytics and service providers.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain and secure the Service.
- Process Customer Data to scan for issues and apply fixes to your QuickBooks Online.
- Improve and develop features, including via aggregated and de-identified analytics.
- Prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents and comply with law.
- Manage billing, subscriptions and payments.
- Communicate with you about the Service and, where permitted, send marketing you can opt out of.
We rely on contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations and, where needed, consent, as legal bases.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share it with:
- Service providers and subprocessors (hosting, storage, logging, analytics, email, support).
- Dodo Payments and payment providers, to process payments.
- Intuit/QuickBooks Online, when you authorize us to read and write data to your books.
- Affiliates and in corporate transactions, as part of normal business operations.
- Legal and safety recipients, when required by law or to protect rights, security or property.
- Recipients of aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify an individual.
6. Data Location and International Transfers
We are based in India and use infrastructure in multiple regions.
- For US Customers, we host primary application data in data centers located in the United States, subject to reasonable exceptions (backups, logs, support operations).
- For Customers in other regions, data may be processed in India and/or other jurisdictions.
Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards and contracts for international transfers.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and logging.
No system is perfectly secure. We do not guarantee absolute security.
8. Retention
We keep personal information:
- For as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service;
- As required by law or to enforce our agreements and resolve disputes; and
- In aggregated or de-identified form for longer, where it cannot reasonably identify individuals.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct or delete your personal information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Receive your data in a portable format; and
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined in US state privacy laws.
10. Children
The Service is for adults in a business context and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy. The "Last updated" date shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
